It is the 5th of June that is celebrated as World Environment day. It is a day that gives tribute to Our Mother Earth. On this day we have to observe the importance of Mother Earth. We should consider how Mother earth is important to us. The day is celebrated to alert the people to save Mother Earth and Environment. On this day, we should take a pledge to protect our Mother Earth. The day is celebrated to spread the love of nature. The day is to remember the people it is our duty to protect Mother Earth and our Environment.

Celebration World Environment Day 5 June 2023

• On 5 June, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) will air an extraordinary LIVE transmission, to investigate how World Environment Day 2022 is being commended all over the planet. From an electric vehicle rally in Cairo to a mega cyclization in Mumbai and an e-squander drive in Bucharest, youth environment lobbyist Salina Abraham will meet a portion of individuals making a move for our planet.

When World Environment was initially celebrated?

• The day was first seen in 1974 in the city of Spokane in the USA.

History of World Environment Day

• In 1972, the United Nations General Assembly laid out World Environment Day on the primary day of the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment. After two years, in 1974 the primary WED has held with the topic “Just a single Earth”. Despite the fact that Environment Day festivity has been held every year beginning around 1974, in 1987 the thought of turning the focal point of these exercises through choosing different host nations started.

Why do we celebrate Environment day?

• It is our duty to save our environment because it is the place where we survive. If we want to live a healthy life we have to protect our environment. On this day people consider our responsibility towards our Mother Earth that nourishes us without any charge, all things we get free from Environment and in return what we give nothing so at least on this day we should give the importance to our Mother Earth. In our busy lives, we forgot our responsibility to protect our mother so it is a day that makes the people aware of our responsibility that is to observe Environment day. Not only on the 5th June we should observe the Environment day but also we have to observe every day as World environment day.

• I will plant at least 10 plants and will take care of them.
• On this day I will not use any vehicle which causes pollution.
• I promise always to clean my home that is the Environment.
• I nourish my Mother as she nourishes us.

• I will sow more seeds in nature.
• I will stop deforestation.
